Nov 10, 2010 – SOLANA BEACH, Calif. The weather outside is getting chilly and that only means one thing! It’s time again to throw on the turtleneck and sweater and throw a party. The 8th Annual Turtleneck and Sweater party returns to The Belly Up Tavern on December 4, presented by Windigo Surfboards.

“The Turtleneck and Sweater Party tradition lives on,” said Hooter Hicks with Windigo Surfboards. “This year’s party is truly going to be like the holiday equivalent on turning Godzilla loose in Yokohama in a turtleneck and mustache.”

This year, the Turtleneck and Sweater Party goes retro with music from the 1980s tribute band Metro from Encinitas. The group features a wide selection of popular 80s music from bands like INXS, The Bangles, Blondie and even Duran Duran.

“Metro will rock the party for us and I am really excited to have them in the house,” Teddy Hicks said. “Along with DJ Tommy Cox, it will definitely be a bash to remember, if you can in fact remember anything the next day.”

Guests will also be treated to VIP bags and plenty of great drink specials to help warm up the night.

The Belly Up Tavern is located at 143 South Cedros Avenue in Solana Beach, just southeast of the intersection of Highway 101 and Lomas Santa Fe Drive.
